The links in this area, although by no means exhaustive, are some essential reference points for professional practice that you may wish to access from this site.

We would particularly recommend that you visit:

• The LSIS Teaching and Learning Programme website.  Here you will find all the teaching and learning resources that have been developed over the five phases of the programme. The resources in Gold dust are drawn from here and you will find many more that can be adapted and used in teacher education and professional development programmes.

• Effective teaching and learning approaches.  Here you will find resources that explore 10 pedagogy approaches and activities to use with learners with teacher guidance describing the pedagogy approaches used and why they work.

• Supporting your CPD. In these resources you will find a variety of approaches to CPD to use independently, or with colleagues, for example, CPD activities for groups of colleagues that tackle some challenging topics and CPD builders in subject or vocational areas offering a new, more flexible way to design personalised professional development.

• The Centres for Excellence in Teacher Training (CETTs) site. It is a community of professional practice with regular updates on news, events and publications.  There you will find additional resources selected and developed by the CETTs to support key themes in teacher education.
