Work-related learning

Work-related learning is relevant and important for learners at all ages and stages.  It forms a key element in many 14–19 programmes where learners may be exploring employment options as well as for adult learners who may have clear ideas about their career development.

A work-related curriculum can enable learners to:

• explore job roles and organisational structure
• practise communication and employability skills
• relate theory to practice
• develop knowledge of employment opportunities in their specialist area.
