Planning for learning

Teachers work with colleagues and their learners to plan appropriate, effective and coherent learning programmes.

They are committed to:

  • planning to promote equality, support diversity and to meet the aims and learning needs of learners
  • learner participation in the planning of learning
  • evaluation of own effectiveness in planning learning.

(From LLUK’s New overarching professional standards for teachers, tutors and trainers in the lifelong learning sector.)

In this section you will find resources from the Teaching and Learning Programme that you can use to support initial teacher education and professional development in these areas.

Refer also to the Equality, diversity and inclusion area for additional resources.
