Teaching and learning resources

The resources and the contexts that teachers create for learners can convey dimensions of equality, diversity and inclusion so that all learners can perceive that opportunities are open to them. At the same time learners widen their own awareness of what equality, diversity and inclusion means in the workplace and in their lives.

Teachers also need to consider how technology can enhance learning for greater choice and diversity. Technology can:

  • generate new learning communities that are not bound by classroom walls, time zones or national boundaries
  • reach out to people who have never before been able to participate in learning and enable them to become fully engaged
  • offer them ways of learning that they have never experienced before
  • help them access information from sources that they have never before been able to access
  • spark enthusiasm among people who have found other forms of learning unappealing.

In this area you can find resources that stimulate ideas and discussion and provide models for creating contexts that convey dimensions of equality, diversity and inclusion in your teaching.
