Assessment and quality assurance

Managing quality and sustainable quality improvement is driven by a focus on the learner. To enhance the learners' experience, a strategy needs to be devised that emphasises problem-solving, team building and managing the process of quality improvement.

Challenges that affect the quality of the learner experience in many organisations include:

  • the effectiveness of the partnership with other stakeholders who are also engaged in learners’ programmes
  • the collection of, and response to, learners’ feedback

Resources in this section can be used to:

  • give learners’, teachers’ and managers’ perspectives on processes that can bring about quality improvement in learning programmes
  • illustrate tools and creative approaches that some providers have adopted.

The resources in this area can be used to support teacher educators and those supporting professional development in design and use of quality improvement processes.
