Each learner will embark on a learning journey that will vary according to their interests, needs and aspirations. At each stage of the learner journey, there are opportunities to personalise the experience for your learner.
Using the learner journey as a model for planning provides teachers with opportunities to consider:
- skills that learners can develop at each stage
- professional development opportunities at each stage
- how to involve the learner as a partner in designing and planning their learning programme at each stage.
The learner journey model can also help to illustrate the range of professional roles that teachers undertake as they support their learners.
